Eliminated in group play after winning the NBA's in-season tournament last season, the Bucks are getting a much-needed four-day break while adjusting to playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo for an extended time due to his calf injury. Because the Bucks aren't in the quarterfinals, two regular-season games were added to their schedule.
The Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons meet Saturday at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Moments later, the Bucks announced that Antetokounmpo had sustained a right calf strain and was immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game. “Giannis Antetokounmpo (right calf strain) will not return to tonight’s game,” the team wrote on X.
